VR2 Playstation to release in 2023 - Here’s everything we have about it

Sony has confirmed that the PlayStation VR2 will be available in early 2023. Sony's PlayStation has already had a stellar 2022, thanks to big-name releases like Horizon Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7, and the new PS Plus, with the blockbuster God of War Ragnarök still on the way. With the release of the PS VR2, the gaming behemoth hopes to carry this momentum into 2023.

While no official release date or price has been announced, Sony is expected to go all-out with launch window titles such as Horizon Call of The Mountain, Resident Evil 8, and Among US VR. Furthermore, if the price of the PS5 is any indication, Sony is expected to price the PlayStation VR 2 aggressively, as competition from products such as Meta Quest grows.

Sony is attempting to increase the haptics for the VR headset to improve immersion, a feature that debuted with the PS5 DualSense controller. According to Sony, the haptics, when combined with enhanced fidelity, wide FOV, eye tracking, and 3D audio, will ensure that in-game actions are amplified sensorily to a new level, setting industry benchmarks.

The PlayStation VR2 is expected to include a new VR controller known as the PlayStation VR2 Sense Controller. According to Sony, the new controller, like the DualSense controller, will support adaptive triggers. More immersive sensory experiences should be possible as a result of this.
