What Are The Stages Of The Contest?

a. The Preliminary round (also called "Prelims") will consist of 15 Questions on the MS Forms platform on 3rd December 2021. 

Prelims timings: 

Group A - 3 pm - 4.30 pm

Group B - 5 pm - 6.30 pm

b. Access to the form will be open only on 3rd December 2021.  
c. Part of the questions for the prelims will be taken from the DIYA Mobile app and from the Blogs page of the DIYA Website:  Technology - From Around the World in 100 Words! Kindly go through these links and get ready for the prelims.
d. First few Questions will be starred and will be clearly mentioned on the platform. Starred Questions don't carry extra marks but are used in Tie-break situations.
e. Number of starred questions answered will be used for tie breaks. In case a further tie arises, sudden death will be considered and if there's a further tie: the earliest submitted entry shall prevail.
f. The top 8 will qualify for the finals on 5th December 2021 - Sunday, which will take place through a video conferencing platform.
g. The Rules for the Finals will be revealed on the spot.

1. There will be images and other media used in the Quiz. This content is extracted from the internet after thorough research and it may be copyrighted. We do not intend to violate or infringe any rights holders of the same. These are used for educational purposes only and no commercial use is intended. Participants should not screenshot or copy or by any means replicate/reproduce any of the content shared/displayed during the proceedings of the quiz.

2. The event is mostly being organized on a digital platform, in view of the pandemic situation. The participants agree that the Organizers would in no way be responsible for the internet connectivity that is required at all stages of the quiz. It is the sole responsibility of the participant to equip themselves with robust internet facilities to take part in this event.

3. The Organizers will put in their best effort to ensure the technology requirements at their end, such as functioning of the software's, servers, etc. to provide a great experience. However, the Organizers would be in no way responsible if for any unforeseen reasons there is a failure at their end on these fronts.

4. By entering the event and / or participating in the Quiz, the attendees permit themselves to be photographed / videographer / recorded by electronic and print mediums for telecast / publication and other display usage of the organizers.

5. Once you register for the event you indicate your acceptance that the decision of the organisers and quizmaster will be final and binding on all issues related to the competition and no correspondence in this regard would be entertained.

6. By registering for the event, you also indicate your acceptance to these terms and your consent to the effect that the organisers can send you communication from time to time regarding other initiatives by the organisers or partner entities.

7. The decision of the Quizmaster and/or Organisers is deemed final and binding on any and all participants concerned. No Correspondence in such regards will be entertained by the Organisers.

8. Fair Play Policy is encouraged and any discrepancy found in the authenticity of the answers or any suspicious behaviour may be met with a penalty on points or disqualification, as the case may be and on the Quizmaster or Organisers' discretion.

9. Prizes once awarded will be final and there would be no exchange/substitution of the prizes to the winners.

10. Neither the Organizers nor the sponsors, or employees, consultants, agents, third party service providers of the Organizers may be held liable for any warranty, costs, damage, injury, or any other claims incurred as a result of usage of the prize by the winner once delivered by the Organizers.

11. If the specified prize becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, the organizers may substitute the prize at their discretion.

12. The organizers reserve the right to alter/ amend/ modify any rules of any contest at any time without any notice whatsoever.

13. This is to inform all participants and winners that government id cards, bank details, etc. may be collected from the participants/ winners of the competition, both offline and online, for the purposes of reaching out to them with regards to their participation, winning of the competition and also distribution of prizes as the case may be.
